Role of Herbalist

I am thankful for all good Doctors. The value of medical intervention is evident when the Surgeon repairs bones or removes stones, the Internist uses antibiotics or insulin effectively, or the Pediatrician excludes a food that the enzyme deficient child cannot metabolize.

Only a Physician can diagnose, treat and prescribe medicines for illness. The role of the Herbalist is to consider each client as a whole person, with whom to recommend, suggest and educate where appropriate. I will suggest other healing modalities and allopathic care. My recommendations may consist of herbs, nutritional and dietary changes, exercise and stress management, as well as advice on supplements. I will take the time to discuss herb and drug interactions. You may be referred to an allopathic doctor or your current medical doctor for tests or continuing care where appropriate. I may suggest acupuncture, massage, or chiropractic care. I do not make outrageous claims, or promise to treat or cure any serious, life-threatening or incurable disease states.

All my clients are required to sign a liability waiver before we begin. This waiver states that it is understood that the consultation is for educational purposes and that the client, alone, is responsible for any consequences that may ensue from the information or recommendations obtained from the consultations.
